Please take a few minutes to learn more about the Coalition. Find a role that interests you and then join us.

Membership in the Coalition is open to all who are willing to commit to ending childhood lead poisoning in Monroe County by 2010 and agree to follow our Guiding Principles.

Voting Members agree to become a member of one of the Volunteer Committees and to be trained in the consensus-building process.

Interested individuals who are unable to join one of the committees will be welcomed as CPLP Allies. Allies will receive all general communications and may participate in any Coalition meeting. However, Allies will not be entitled to vote at Coalition meetings.

For membership information, please call (585) 256-2267.

The Rochester/Monroe County community has rallied to the cause of ending childhood lead poisoning to a remarkable degree. We believe this is true for several reasons: 1) once people understood how straightforward the solution is, failure to act became morally, economically, and politically unacceptable; 2) this is a genuinely non-partisan issue–CPLP has brought to the table the Mayor and the County Executive, lawyers and landlords, families and doctors, and business leaders and workers; and 3) this is one problem we can solve and in doing so realize immediate and tangible benefits. Join the hundreds of volunteers, housing and health care professionals, community organizations, and public and private funders in this relatively short-term effort to solve a devastating long-term problem.
